Gaskill, Gray Compete as Olympic Schedule Turns to Final Week

February 15, 2026 | Skiing, Olympians

LIVIGNO & CORTINA, Italy -- Two Colorado Olympians were in action Sunday at the 2026 Winter Olympic Games, competing in snowboard cross and alpine skiing.

Gaskill Races in Mixed Team Snowboard Cross

Former Buff Stacy Gaskill teamed with Nathan Pare in the mixed team snowboard cross event for Team USA at the Livigno Snow Park.

In the format, the men raced first to establish a time gap before the women's leg. Pare delivered a strong opening run, finishing just .08 seconds behind the heat leader to keep the American team in contention.

Gaskill went out with the leaders but caught an edge during her run and fell, preventing the U.S. from advancing out of the quarterfinal round.

Gray Competes in Giant Slalom

Former Buff Cass Gray competed in the women's giant slalom, her top event of the Olympic program at the Tofane Alpine Skiing Center in Cortina d'Ampezzo.

Gray ran into trouble midway down the course and fought to regain control, but ultimately fell and did not finish her run.

Up Next

Colorado athletes return to action Wednesday. Hugo Hinckfuss is scheduled to compete in the cross-country team freestyle sprint, with the possibility of Jakob Moch also participating.
Former Buff Joanne Reid will race for Team USA in the women's 4x6K biathlon relay.
The final Colorado athlete set to compete is Svea Irving, who will take part in freestyle halfpipe qualifying on Thursday.
