ANTHOLZ & TESERO, Italy - Wednesday marked the final Olympic appearance for former Colorado standout Joanne Reid, who anchored Team USA in the women's 4x6K biathlon relay at the 2026 Winter Olympic Games.

The United States finished 18th, the final team to cross the line after two teams were lapped and did not finish. While the result wasn't what the Americans had hoped for, the moment carried fitting significance as Reid brought the team home in the final leg of her Olympic career.

She delivered another strong performance on the range, shooting a perfect 5-for-5 in prone and going 5-of-6 in standing to ensure the United States finished the race. As she entered the stadium, Reid received a strong ovation from the crowd and waved as she crossed the finish line.

The race marked the final Olympic start for Reid, who returned to the sport less than a year ago to complete a remarkable comeback and compete in her third Olympic Games.

Fellow Buff Hugo Hinckfuss partnered with Lars Young Vik for Australia, finishing 14th. Australia also advanced out of qualifying to compete in the final round.
