February 16, 2026 | Soccer
BOULDER – Colorado head coach Danny Sanchez announced the 2026 soccer schedule on Monday, along with the Big 12 Conference schedule release.
The Buffaloes will play eight non-conference tilts as a build-up to the 11-match Big 12 schedule. The 2026 schedule features 11 home matches and eight opponents from the 2025 NCAA Tournament.
The Buffs' bid for a fourth consecutive NCAA Tournament bid starts at Prentup Field on Aug. 12, against in-state rival Colorado State. It will be Colorado's first meeting with the Rams since the no-contest in the 2021 season.
The early season will continue at Prentup Field with two more matches against Army (Aug. 16) and Cal State Fullerton (Aug. 20).
CU's first road trip of the year will be a two-game swing through Michigan. The Buffs will take on Western Michigan on Aug. 27 for the first time in program history. CU will return to the site of last season's NCAA Tournament to rematch with Michigan State on Aug. 30.
The Buffs will close out the non-conference season with a three-game home stand against New Mexico (Sept. 3), Utah State (Sept. 6) and Denver (Sept. 11).
The Big 12 season will get underway for the Buffs from Ames, Iowa, opening with Iowa State on Sept. 17.
CU's conference home matches include West Virginia (Sept. 24), Baylor (Oct. 8), Kansas (Oct. 11), Cincinnati (Oct. 30) and Oklahoma State (Nov. 5).
Colorado will hit the road in conference at Texas Tech (Sept. 27), UCF (Oct. 2), Kansas State (Oct. 16), Arizona (Oct. 22) and Arizona State (Oct. 25).
The top eight teams in the standings at the conclusion of league play will advance to the 2026 Big 12 Soccer Tournament presented by Allstate, held Nov. 9-14 at a site to be announced later.
Times and TV information will be announced at a later date.
