NCAA, RMISA Championship Venues Adjusted

Lack of Snow Forced Relocation of NCAA Championships To Utah
The championships were originally scheduled to be hosted by Montana State at Bridger Bowl (alpine) and Crosscut Mountain Sports Center (Nordic) in Bozeman. The National Collegiate Men's and Women's Skiing Committee made the decision to relocate due to a lack of snow in the Bozeman area, with the new site approved by the Division I Cabinet Subcommittee.
Committee members cited the ability to provide the highest level of competition for student-athletes and prioritized keeping the alpine and Nordic venues in close proximity so teams can support one another throughout the championship.
"The NCAA Championships are the premier event of the year for our skiing student-athletes, and while we are unable to compete in Montana as planned, the skiing committee is very appreciative for all the efforts that Montana State University has made to prepare for a successful championship," said committee chair Jim Dwyer, Dartmouth's director of skiing and head alpine coach. "The unprecedented lack of snow has forced the championships to Utah, where we are confident we will have the championship event that we have become accustomed to having. I want to thank both Montana State and the University of Utah for their efforts as we navigate this change of venue."
The relocation does not affect a previous announcement that Utah will host the 2028 NCAA Skiing Championships.
The venue change also impacts the RMISA Championships. The Nordic portion will now be held at Soldier Hollow, Feb. 27–28, while the alpine events will remain at Bridger Bowl in Bozeman, Feb. 26–28, and will include an additional slalom qualifier.
For Nordic teams, the RMISA Championships will serve as their final competition before NCAAs.
Colorado's alpine team still has one regular-season meet remaining prior to RMISAs, competing at the Utah Invitational, Feb. 22–24, at Utah Olympic Park. The meet will include an additional giant slalom qualifier.
The current Utah Invitational is midway through competition, with Colorado leading the standings with 369 points. Host Utah is second with 343 points, followed by Montana State (258) and Denver (253).
