Marois Drafted To CFL; Three More Buffs Pick Up NFL Mini Camp Invites

BOULDER — Tristan Marois was selected with the 27th overall pick in the CFL Canadian Draft by the Calgary Stampeders, highlighting a group of 10 Colorado Buffaloes who have secured professional opportunities following the conclusion of the 2026 NFL Draft weekend.

Four additional Buffaloes earned opportunities Sunday, with Keaten Wade accepting a rookie minicamp invitation with the Kansas City Chiefs, Amari McNeill accepting rookie minicamp invitations with both the Kansas City Chiefs and Carolina Panthers and Zarian McGill accepting a rookie minicamp invitation with the Denver Broncos.

They join six Buffaloes announced Saturday, including Anquin Barnes Jr. (New York Giants), Sincere Brown (Los Angeles Chargers), Xavier Hill (New York Jets), Preston Hodge (Jacksonville Jaguars) and Arden Walker (Minnesota Vikings), who signed undrafted free agent deals, along with Kaidon Salter, who received a rookie minicamp invitation from the Tennessee Titans.

Colorado has had at least one undrafted free agent make a final NFL roster in each of the last 11 seasons, with 68 players in program history reaching final rosters after going undrafted.

Amari McNeill played in nine games with five starts in 2025, finishing with 21 tackles, including two tackles for loss, with two quarterback hurries, one forced fumble and half a sack. He played in 32 career games with 12 starts, totaling 77 tackles, including 15 tackles for loss, with seven sacks, six quarterback hurries, three forced fumbles, one pass breakup and one blocked kick.

Tristan Marois played in all 12 games in 2025, contributing on special teams and defense. He recorded three tackles and two quarterback hurries on defense and played 194 special teams snaps across five units. He totaled 11 special teams points, including two unassisted tackles, one fumble recovery, seven knockdown or springing blocks and one forced fair catch.

Zarian McGill played and started all 12 games in 2025 and led the offense with 774 snaps. He allowed one sack, one quarterback hit and eight hurries and was graded as the ninth-best offensive lineman in the Big 12 and the third-best center.

Keaten Wade played and started all 12 games in 2025, totaling 46 tackles, including nine tackles for loss, with nine quarterback hurries and 2.5 sacks. He added two pass breakups, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery. He played in 18 career games with 12 starts, totaling 66 tackles, including 16.5 tackles for loss, with 6.5 sacks and 12 quarterback hurries.
