Buffs To Battle Bearcats On Black And Gold Day

April 09, 2026 | Lacrosse

BOULDER – The 15th-ranked Colorado women's lacrosse team (8-3, 1-1 Big 12) will face the Cincinnati Bearcats (8-6, 0-2 Big 12) at 12 p.m. on Saturday, April 11, at Kittredge Field.

The Buffaloes returned home from a split weekend in Florida after taking on then-No. 5 Florida and Jacksonville on April 4 and 6. CU played a close game against the Gators (April 4) but ultimately fell short when Florida scored four goals in the final 15 minutes (9-7).

On Monday, April 6, the Buffs played their second ASUN opponent of the season in Jacksonville, winning in their first overtime game since 2022 (10-9). Against the Dolphins, junior attackers Jaimey Hill and Rachel Kennedy each reached 50 career points.

Senior defender Jess Peluso won Big 12 Defender of the Week for the fourth time this season on Wednesday, April 8. At the games in Florida, Peluso had three caused turnovers, two draw controls and two groundballs.

This Saturday's game against the Bearcats will only be the second time the teams have met in program history. The last time the two played each other, Colorado defeated Cincinnati 20-5.

At the game on Saturday, fans can enjoy the petting zoo and post-game skills clinic. Additionally, the first 100 fans will receive a free Buffs bandana.
