Levy-Smith Joins Colorado Lacrosse Staff as Assistant Coach

BOULDER — Colorado lacrosse head coach Ann Elliott Whidden has announced the addition of Racheli Levy-Smith to the Buffaloes' staff as an assistant coach.
Levy-Smith joins Colorado following a decorated playing career at Holy Cross, where she established herself as one of the nation's top draw-control specialists and defensive players.
As a senior in 2026, Levy-Smith earned third-team All-America honors from both the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association and USA Lacrosse, while also receiving honorable mention All-America recognition from Inside Lacrosse. She was named the Patriot League Defensive Player of the Year and earned first-team All-Patriot League, All-Northeast Region and All-ECAC honors.
Levy-Smith started all 17 games for the Crusaders during her senior season and set a Holy Cross single-season record with 191 draw controls. She also led the team with 41 caused turnovers and 41 ground balls. She averaged 11.24 draw controls and 2.41 caused turnovers per game, ranking second in the Patriot League in both categories, and was third in the conference in ground balls per game.
She concluded her Holy Cross career as the program's all-time leader with 475 draw controls while adding 111 ground balls and 88 caused turnovers in 61 appearances. Levy-Smith set the school's single-season draw-control record in each of her final two seasons, recording 171 in 2025 before improving that mark as a senior.
Her career honors also included first-team All-Patriot League recognition in 2025 and 2026, second-team honors in 2024 and a spot on the 2024 Patriot League All-Tournament Team. She was named second-team All-Northeast Region in 2025 and was a three-time Patriot League Academic Honor Roll selection.
Levy-Smith also competed internationally for Israel at the 2024 World Lacrosse Women's U20 Championship in Hong Kong. She totaled 15 goals, three assists, eight ground balls and 72 draw controls in six games while helping Israel to a 13th-place finish.
A native of Ocean City, N.J., Levy-Smith attended Ocean City High School, where she was a two-time first-team All-Cape Atlantic League selection and earned second-team All-South Jersey honors. She also competed in field hockey and basketball and played club lacrosse for South Jersey Select.
Levy-Smith graduated from Holy Cross with a degree in psychology.
