Tragarz Moves To CU No. 2 All-Time, Leads Buffs at Doug Max Invite

FORT COLLINS, Colo. – Colorado track and field competed at the Doug Max Invitational on Saturday, highlighted by Danny Tragarz's No. 2 all-time performance in the 400-meter hurdles.

Tragarz led the way for the Buffs, winning the 400-meter hurdles in 49.84. His altitude-converted time of 49.95 ranks No. 14 in the NCAA this season and No. 2 in program history, just behind Maurice Mitchell's school record of 49.66 set in 1993.



On the track, Helen Carlson (2:07.97) and Riley Burkey (2:09.34) led the way in the women's 800 meters, with Carlson recording an altitude PR and Burkey notching a personal best. Drew Costelow placed second in the men's 800 meters with a time of 1:49.34, while Kimi Bulto posted a season-best 1:53.81.

Olivia Sheridan ran a huge personal-best 4:39.75 in the women's 1500 meters.

NEXT UP: Colorado will compete at the Air Force Twilight Open on Saturday, May 9, as a final tune-up before the conference championships.
