CU Soccer Adds Lillie Quinlivan Coulson

BOULDER -- The Colorado Buffaloes Soccer program has added incoming freshman Lillie Quinlivan Coulson from Newcastle, United Kingdom, coach Danny Sanchez announced Wednesday.Â
Quinlivan Coulson is a 5-7 defender/midfielder TK who most recently competed for Durham Women FC from 2023-26. Prior to joining Durham, she played for Sunderland from 2017-23.
"Lillie is a very versatile back who can play centrally or wide," Sanchez said. "She has great experience playing for Durham FC and the Irish National Teams. We expect Lillie to come in and really develop and have an impact on our program."Â
During her club career, Quinlivan Coulson helped Durham reach the U21 PGA Plate Final in 2026, falling to Manchester United 2-1 in the championship match. She also helped Sunderland win the U16 PGA Plate title in 2023.
Durham finished second in the Northern Division during the 2024-25 season.
On the international level, Quinlivan Coulson represented Ireland at both the U17 and U19 levels. She competed in UEFA European Qualifiers with the U17 team in 2023-24 and the U19 team in 2025-26.
Quinlivan Coulson attended Dame Allan's School in Newcastle, where she also competed in hockey and cricket, earning full honors in both sports.
She plans to major in finance in the Leeds School of Business at Colorado. Quinlivan Coulson chose Colorado because of "the brilliant balance of sporting excellence and academia" and the opportunity to experience a new culture.
