BOULDER, Colo. — As the fall sports season gets into full swing, the University of Colorado Athletic Department is introducing a new slate of discounted concession items called the "Flatirons 5" that will be available at Folsom Field, the CU Events Center, and Prentup Field starting immediately.
The Flatirons 5 consists of a hot dog, popcorn, soda, candy, and bottled water for just $5 apiece, giving fans at all CU sporting events in 2026-27 an affordable food and beverage option.
"The Flatirons 5 is another way we're making CU sporting events more accessible to all Buffs fans," said Fernando Lovo, Director of Athletics. "I'm so excited to work with our partners at Levy Restaurants to create this new affordable menu that will be available at all of our venues for all of our sports this year."
The Flatirons 5 is the latest new feature that CU Athletics is introducing for 2026-27, joining the Ralphie's Road street party outside Folsom Field before football games, and a new in-game football fan experience that includes live music with "Bands in the Stands," new in-game host, and new videoboard show.
The Buffs soccer and volleyball teams have already started action, and the football team will begin its season on Thursday at Georgia Tech in a nationally-televised tilt on ESPN before returning to Folsom Field on Sept. 12 for their home opener against Weber State. Tickets for all CU sports are available now at www.cubuffs.com.
