
Buffs Prepped For First Road Matches

BOULDER — Coming off a six-win homestand, No. 23 Colorado volleyball (6-0) travels to face Oregon State (4-2) and No. 16 USC (2-2) at the Galen Center in Los Angeles, Calif. The contest against USC is the first top-25 match-up for the Buffs this season. Approaching the third week of the season, Colorado is one of only two Big 12 teams that remain undefeated.

Colorado holds steady as the 23rd-ranked team in the AVCA-Taraflex Division I poll.

Colorado took home the Buffs Invitational trophy last weekend with wins against Wichita State, New Mexico and Northern Colorado. Senior middle blocker Cayla Payne received MVP of the tournament, while senior pin attacker Ana Burilovic and senior setter Jenna Ylivainio were named to the all-tournament team.

Burilovic was named to the Big 12 Starting Seven on Tuesday. She led the conference with the most kills (58) and points (68) for the week, including a season-high 25 kills against New Mexico.

Payne reached a career milestone, recording her 350th block on her first block of the Northern Colorado match.

Sophomore pin Ines Losada notched a career-high with her 14 kills and five aces against Northern Colorado.

During the Northern Colorado match, Burilovic reached sixth place for most kills in a career at Colorado during the rally-score era with her 1,156 kills.

Burilovic also holds 3,038 career attacks. She sits in fifth place for most attacks recorded in CU history during the rally-score era.

Senior PIN Sydney Jordan mounted 2,000 career attacks, putting her as 15th all-time in Colorado history during the rally-score era.

Senior defensive specialist Peyton Neal is approaching 1,000 career digs. She is currently at 962.
BUFFS BATTLE THE BEAVERS: The match-up between Colorado and Oregon State marks the first contest between the two since CU left the Pac-12. The Buffs have won the last three matches, leading the all-time series 18-6. Oregon State is headlined by outside hitter AC Froehlich and setter Jackie Matias. Lindsey Behonick enters her fourth year at the helm of OSU volleyball.
RANKED RALLY: The Buffs face their first ranked opponent of the season with their match against the Trojans on their home court. The two teams last met in 2023, where Colorado took down USC in five sets. USC is led by outside hitter London Wijay and middle blocker Mia Tvrdy. Brad Keller is in his seventh season as head coach.
