Gretsch, Ikedo Set to Represent Buffs at Bedford Cup

COLORADO SPRINGS - The Colorado Buffaloes Tennis team will resume fall competition this weekend, sending two players to compete in three days of Bedford Cup competition at the U.S Air Force Academy.
Buffs returners Willow Gretsch and Yukiko Ikedo will make their fall debuts this weekend after not traveling to Milwaukee earlier this month. Play begins Friday at 9 a.m., and will consist of two doubles matches, followed by one or two singles matches and an additional doubles match.
"For those two, they haven't had any matches this fall yet, so it'll be a good opportunity for them," head coach Anthony Pham said. "They're working their tails off in practice and fitness, Willow and Yukiko specifically have really turned a corner."
Newly appointed assistant coach Erick Garcia will accompany the duo this weekend, marking his first competition with the Buffs since joining the program during the offseason.
Colorado enters the weekend looking to build on its success from last year, having taken home the Bedford Cup trophy after totaling 22 victories across three days of competition.
