Made his first career start on the road against Arizona.
Finished the season with 24 total tackles, eight third down stops, six pass breakups, two interceptions, one fourth down stop, and one tackle for loss.
Had his breakout game against Kansas State after Travis Hunter had to leave for injury. Had his first interception to set up a touchdown to take the lead late in the fourth quarter.
In his first career start against Arizona, he helped limit future top pick Tetairoa McMillan to only five receptions for 38 yards. He also added a second career interception.
Played in the third most special teams snaps on the team with 204 across five groups: kickoff, kickoff return, punt, punt return, and field goal block.

Played for head coach Tanner Rodgers at Eagles Landing Christian Academy in Georgia.
Played CB, WR, QB and RB for an Eagle’s Landing Christian squad that went 7-5 and made the second round of Georgia’s AA playoffs.
Accounted for 1,112 yards of total offense (647 receiving, 279 passing and 186 rushing) and 13 TDs.
On defense, was credited with 40 tackles and 3 INTs. Also made a big impact on special teams, returning two punts for touchdowns along with a kickoff.
Named the 2022 Region 5-2A Athlete of the Year.
Also a three-time all-region baseball player (two-time all-state CF), part of an all-state 4x100 relay in track and a basketball letterman.

PERSONAL

Son of Bengie and Crystal Hood.
Has two sisters and five brothers.
His brother Brandon Hood is also on the team as a freshman.
Uncle Roderick Hood played eight seasons in the NFL after appearing in 47 games as a DB for Auburn. Finished pro career with 254 tackles and 15 interceptions to his credit.
