  • Played in 12 games this season, with 743 defensive snaps. Led the team in unassisted tackles with 73, as well as total tackles with 101. Had three sacks, 10 tackles for loss, five tackles for zero, eight third down stops, two quarterback pressures, one fumble recovery, and one pass break up.

AT WEST VIRGINIA (2018-21) —A two-time All-Big 12 performer, he finished his career at West Virginia with 260 tackles, including 145 solo stops, with 15 tackles for loss (1½ sacks), nine quarterback hurries, five forced fumbles, three interceptions, three pass breakups and one fumble recovery … Named All-Big 12 as a senior in 2021 when he started all 13 games with 110 tackles, good for 36th nationally and third in the Big 12 … His 68 solo stops ranked 20th nationally and fifth in the Big 12 … Started all nine games he played in the COVID-shortened 2020 season and was eighth in the Big 12 in tackles and third on the team with 64 … Had 13 tackles in the team’s Liberty Bowl win and was named to the All-Bowl team by the AP, USA Today and ESPN … As a sophomore in 2019, he was honorable mention All-Big 12 and started nine of 10 games … His 72 tackles ranks seventh in the Big 12 … Played in 12 games as a backup at linebacker and on special teams as a freshman in 2018.
 
HIGH SCHOOL—A three-star prospect from the recruiting services … He was ranked the No. 104 linebacker and No. 56 player from Ohio by the 247 Composite … Rivals ranked him as the No. 32 player from Ohio and No. 29 inside linebacker nationally … Senior season he was named second-team High School All-American by USA Today and was his league’s MVP … He registered 86 tackles with 17 for a loss despite dealing with a knee injury that allowed him to play in just seven games … He was named the Division I All-Ohio first-team, District 1 Northeast Inland District and Academic All-Ohio as a senior … Junior season earned Division 1 All-Ohio second team.
 
ACADEMICS—He graduated from West Virginia in May 2021 and worked on his master’s degree in Business Administration before transferring to Colorado, where he is continuing his graduate work ...
