2019 IWLCA Academic Honor Roll

SENIOR (2020): Did not play.

JUNIOR (2019): Sutherland saw time against Virginia Tech (2/16).

SOPHOMORE (2018): Sutherland saw action in four games and recorded one shot. She played in both games against Arizona State and also saw time in the season opener against Michigan and Jacksonville in the NCAA first-round win.

FRESHMAN (2017): Sutherland played midfield in seven games, recording three goals, one groundball and three draw controls. The freshman took the draw for the Buffs and had one draw control in her first game against Massachusetts on Feb. 17. Sutherland scored her first collegiate goal on a free position in the 20-6 win over Marquette on March 5. She had a season-high two goals and one draw control in the win over Saint Mary’s on April 21.

HIGH SCHOOL: Sutherland is a 2016 graduate of Cherry Creek High School, where she led her team to the state tournament all four years, including a championship in 2013. A three-year letter winner, she earned all-league honors as a junior and academic all-state twice. Cherry Creek had a 33-5 record over her final two seasons. She also lettered one year in basketball.

CLUB TEAM: Sutherland played for Team 180.

IN THE CLASSROOM: She graduated in May 2020 with a degree in business administration. Her emphasis was in accounting and finance.

PERSONAL: Holly Elizabeth Sutherland was born on Oct. 21, 1997. She enjoys biking, hiking and reading. She chose CU because she loves the university, the coaches and the players.
