Barry on Bohman: ?I expect Eisha to start at one of the forward positions. She has a great understanding of our offense, and became increasingly aggressive offensively for us last season. Eisha's ballhandling has improved which makes her that much more dangerous off the dribble.?
2000-01 (Junior): Bohman was selected Colorado?s most improved player following last season with good reason. Bohman started 24 of 31 games for the Buffs, shooting 51.3 percent from the floor, best among the league?s non-post players and 9th in the Big 12 overall. Had 14 points against Howard in the first round of the Coors Classic, en route to the first all-tournament honors of her career. Was a key player in the win at Wyoming, shooting .625 from the floor with 12 points and six boards. She was one board shy of a double-double against Sam Houston, notching 10 points and nine rebounds, along with six assists in CU?s win. Bohman came to play against Iowa State, scoring 16 points in the Buffalo loss in Ames. Averaged double figures in the Big 12 tournament, also holding Missouri?s Amanda Lassiter to just four points in their first round game. In postseason play Bohman just got better and better, averaging 15.5 ppg in the NCAA tournament, including a career high 17 against Siena in the first round. Finished the season with 11 double-digit scoring efforts averaging 7.4 points per game, the best single season scoring average of her career. She also had season-best numbers in rebounding (96, 3.1 per game), assists (50) and blocks (3). In addition to being named the team?s most improved player following the season, Bohman also earned the Coaches Award.
1999-2000 (Sophomore): Bohman was undoubtedly the sixth-person and Ceal Barry?s ?utility? player during the 1999-2000 season, as she provided relief at the off guard spot and earned a start at the power forward spot. The sophomore was the team?s seventh leading scorer and rebounder at 5.0 ppg and 2.6 rpg in 18.7 minutes per game. When Britt Hartshorn was out with an injury vs. Loyola Marymount, Bohman got her first start of the season, the seventh of her career. She scored a team-high and season-high 14 points at No. 16 Oregon, and had her best offensive night in 12 games when she connected for nine points off the bench in CU?s win over Texas. In the same game she grabbed five boards, her best effort on the glass in 16 games. She did this without a turnover in 28 minutes off the bench. Bohman improved her point total from 98-99 to 144 from 93, with her average points per game slipping from 5.2 to 5.0. She played in just 18 games as a freshman due to injury, and saw almost 200 more total minutes as a sophomore.
1998-99 (Freshman): A great passer, Bohman was very consistent her freshman year and made few mistakes. One of only three players (two freshmen) to start five of CU?s first seven pre-conference games, she averaged 5.6 ppg, 3.5 rpg, 2.8 apg while shooting 40 percent from the field and 89 percent from the line through the Wyoming contest. She was the fifth player to miss gametime due to injury during the season. Following a bone scan taken Dec. 18, she was diagnosed as having a stress fracture in between the third and fourth metatarsal of her left foot. She was on crutches until Dec. 28, returned to practices the week of Jan. 25, dressed for her first game at Kansas (Feb. 3) and received her first minutes vs. Kansas State (Feb. 6), her first game in 58 days. In her third game back (at Iowa State) she ignited the CU bench for a career high 16 points (11 by halftime) on a career-high field goals (6), a pair of treys, career high free throws made (2) and attempted (2). She proved that she can handle the ball as she played 354 minutes with only 22 turnovers (15.9:1 ratio) while dishing off 36 assists.
High School: Bohman was Barry?s first land from the San Diego area, and graduated with Rancho Buena Vista records in points (2,194), career scoring average (18.6), season scoring average (20.0 in 1998), points in a single game (34), rebounds (1,174) and career free throw percentage (.690). Her career averages include 9.9 rebounds, 3.6 assists and 2.9 steals. Over the course of her four year career, the Longhorns accumulated a 94-27 (.777) record, won the 1998 CIF San Diego Section Championship as well as the 1997 & 98 Palomar League titles, the 1997 San Diego Classic Summer Tournament and Las Vegas Lady Wolves Invitational. As a freshman she was an all-state team member, a first team Division I All-CIF San Diego and all-Palomar League pick. In 1996 Bohman was named to the sophomore all-state team and repeated her league and division honors and added a first team all-San Diego County honor to her resume. As a junior she was a third-team all-state selection and in her final two seasons was a first-team league and division player, named CIF San Diego Division I Player of the Year, Palomar League Player of the Year and first-team All-Academic San Diego Country pick. During the 1997-98 season Bohman was a preseason honorable mention Street & Smith?s All-American and the 49th-ranked prep player in the country as listed in the premier issue of the Women?s Basketball Journal. She was also a first-team all-state selection and was inducted in the San Diego Hall of Champions. The Colorado Blizzard of ?97 was the icing on the cake for the Southern California native, as she had wanted it to snow on one of her three recruiting trips. As it turned out, she and her family were unable to leave Boulder on their scheduled flight, and the earliest flight they could take departed DIA on Monday morning. Bohman was Colorado?s fifth, and final, verbal commitment of the fall signing period, and although she had home visits from several Golden State schools, Bohman selected CU after visits to Ohio State and Iowa. Her familiarity with CU was enhanced when she attended Barry?s Elite Camp in 1996.
Off the Court: Her mother Cathy is a Lutheran minister and her father Harold is a general surgeon in the Navy. She was a first-team Academic All-Big 12 pick and recipient of the team?s Crystal Ford Adams Scholar Athlete Award with the team?s highest grade point average in 1999. As a sophomore she earned second-team Academic All-Big 12 honors, along with teammates Kami Carmann and Britt Hartshorn. Born June 6, 1980, Bohman is the second-youngest of CU?s five seniors. Her younger brother Erik, a freshman at Cal, has written two unpublished books about Eisha?s high school teams, Sisters, Family, Team and Blood, Heart and Soul. Bohman attended the same high school as CU men?s basketball team alum Jamahl Mosley. She enjoys surfing and sailing in her free time when she is at home in California.
