As a Senior in 2012

Miller spent the majority of time during her senior year as a defensive specialist. She played in 26 matches and earned nine starts during that time. Miller stepped into the role of a tri-captain as the lone senior and helped guide the team to a 14-18 record, the best finish for the Buffs since the 2006 season. During the season she recorded 120 digs, averaging 1.48 digs per set which ranked fourth on the team. Miller picked up a career-high of 16 digs in a crucial four-set win against Oregon State at home (10/28). She did set in the match against Texas Southern to start the season and handed out 25 assists. Miller ended her career at CU with 322 assists and 240 digs.

As a Junior in 2011

Miller spent much of the season splitting time in the setting position, but also appeared as a defensive specialist. She had a career-high of 46 assists while leading the team against Albany (9/4). This same match, Miller had her first start of the year and recorded nine digs. Miller then had a career-high 10 digs against Stanford (11/3). Her versatility proved effective as she was seen in 24 of Colorado's 30 matches. She finished off the season with 180 assists. Miller ended the season with 11 kills, 180 assists, four service aces, 62 digs and six block assists.

As a Sophomore in 2010

Miller made her Colorado debut on Sept. 4, against Montana in which she recorded seven digs and a season-high 22 assists.  Miller spent time as a setter, but also saw time as a serving specialist. She saw action in 21 of 26 matches for CU and recorded 95 assists, 58 digs and seven aces in her first season with the Buffs.

College (Sam Houston State)

Miller transferred to CU after one season at Sam Houston State. The Bearkats posted a 20-14 record and were 12-4 in the Southland Conference. Miller started in 25 matches and played in 108 sets. She handed out 1,059 assists, which was the second best total in SHSU history for a freshman. Miller had 11 double-doubles on the year. The Bearkats put together an 11-match win streak, which was the most for SHSU since 1996. She was named an all-conference honorable mention as she ranked second in the league in assists. Miller also ranked third on the team with 245 digs.

High School 

Miller was a three-time All-District 16-5A first team selection. She led RRHS to a 44-1 record in three years, which included 14-0 seasons her sophomore and senior seasons. The Dragons finished 13-1 her junior year. Miller was an all-district selection her sophomore through senior seasons and was second team as a freshman. She was selected to play on the AJU European team in Global Challenge in Pula, Croatia. Her Austin Junior 17 club team won U.S. Junior Nationals.

Personal  

Michelle Lee Miller was born on January 20, 1991 in Arlington, Texas. She is the daughter of Jay and Joy Miller who reside in Round Rock, Texas. Her father played football and baseball at Wheaton College. She has one older sister, Amanda, and a younger brother, Derek. Miller enjoys cooking and would like to own her own restaurant one day.
