
WOMEN NETTERS DEFEAT OKLAHOMA STATE, 5-2

EDMOND, Okla. ? Five Colorado women's tennis players were victorious helping the Buffaloes cruise to a 5-2 Big 12 Conference win over host Oklahoma State, Friday afternoon at the Oak Tree Tennis Facility.
The win breaks a two-match losing streak and improves No. 68 CU to 5-3 in the Big 12 and 9-7 overall. OSU drops their fifth in a row, falling to 5-10 overall and 1-6 in conference play.
It's only the fifth win for CU over the Cowgirls in 24 matches and the first win over OSU since 1999, breaking a five-match losing streak.
Despite losing the doubles point, CU took care of business in singles play with Lynzee Kever winning her 10th match at No. 1 singles (11th overall) taking a straight-set win, 7-5, 6-0. Jessica Vanderdys picked up her eighth win at No. 2 this spring taking a 3-6, 6-3, 6-3 decision; and Kendra Strandemo, the Big 12 Player of the Week, picked up her eighth win at No. 3 cruising to a 6-4, 6-4 victory. It was Strandemo's fourth win in a row.
CU rounded out the scoring with singles wins at No. 4 and No. 5 with Martina Sedivec taking the decisive third set, 6-2 after splitting the first two; and Morgan Sall won her seventh match in her last nine, taking a 6-3, 7-5 winner at No. 5.
The Buffs close out the regular season with four consecutive road matches and continue their tour of Oklahoma with a Big 12 match at Norman, Sunday April 11 to take on the No. 18 Sooners.
