TEAM

• Head coach Tad Boyle wins his 100th CU game (55 losses).

• CU's first victory against UCLA in five Pac-12 Conference games and breaks five-game skid to the Bruins.

• CU improves to 5-0 in conference home openers under Boyle.

• CU's 67th home win under the Boyle coaching staff (67-10, .870).

• CU is now 22-7 (.759) under the Boyle coaching staff when the Coors Events Center's capacity is over 10,000 fans for a game

• CU avoids its longest losing skid since 2010-11 of three games (when they lost 4 games in a row).

• CU still trails in the all-time series to UCLA, 8-2; series is tied at 2-2 in Boulder. First CU win over UCLA in 53 years.

• Buffaloes improve to 18-4 when a road/neutral court loss follows a home game over the last five years.

• UCLA has now lost four games in a row, longest since 2010-11 (Nov. 24-Dec. 5): Villanova, VCU, Kansas, Montana.

• First opening conference loss for UCLA since Dec. 29, 2011 at Stanford, 60-59.

• Coach Boyle improves to 41-26 (.612) against the Pac-12 (includes 2010-11 games vs. California and Oregon State).

• Overall, CU MBB is now 99-82 vs. Pac-12 Conference (.547).

• Buffaloes improve to 22-6 (.786) at the Coors Events Center against the Pac-12 Conference.

• Colorado had a season-high six first-half steals

• This was the only time this season that Colorado had double-digit turnovers in the first-half (11).

Askia Booker

• Played in his 116th career game, trying for No. 15 overall in school history.

• Started his 80th career game (No. 15 overall at CU).

• Scored 20 points to become over the 10th CU player ever to score over 1,400 career points.     

• In games against his hometown team UCLA in his career, averaging 17.6 ppg, has scored double-digit points in all five games.

• Has scored 20 or more points in four of his last five games.

Xavier Johnson

• Has scored double-digit points in eight of his last nine games.

• Season-high three steals tonight.

• Scored seven points during Colorado's 11-0 run in the second half.

• Scored 11 of his 14 points tonight in the second-half.

Josh Scott

• Did not play tonight due to back spasms. This is the third career game he has missed due to injury. The other two games were on 2/21/13 vs Utah and 2/27/13 at Stanford (Colorado won both games). ck spasms.

 

Dustin Thomas

• Started tonight replacing the injured Josh Scott (3rd start this season).

Jaron Hopkins

• Tied a season-high with 28 minutes played tonight.

 

Wesley Gordon

• Set a new career-high with seven blocks tonight (previously five vs USC on 1/18/2014).

• Second double-double this season (11 pts, 10 rebounds) (3rd of his career).

• Third game this season with 10 or more rebounds in a game (10th of his career).

 

Tory Miller

• Season-high with five points.
