Colorado-Hampton Notes
December 20, 2015 | Men's Basketball
Team
- This is the first time Colorado hosted home games on consecutive days in over 21 years. The last year of the Mile High Classic in 1994-95, the Buffs defeated Eastern Washington 87-67 on Dec. 2 and Hofstra 96-77 on Dec. 3. The Mile High Classic was at the Coors Events Center from 1990-91 to 1994-95. Prior to that, the last time it had happened was in 1970-71 when the Buffs beat UTEP 78-68 on Dec. 7 and UCSB 61-59 on Dec. 8.
- The Buffs haven't lost the second game in a two-day home stand since 1951-52. The Buffs lost to Baylor 54-50 on Dec. 15 after having beat the Bears 47-46 the previous day.
- CU tied its season high of 95 points. The Buffs scored 95 points earlier in the season against Ft. Lewis.
- CU's had its largest lead of the season of 42 points. Buffs led UNC by 36 earlier in the season.
- CU has won 31 of its last 32 non-conference home games in Boulder.
- Ninth win by 30+ points under Tad Boyle and biggest win since CU beat Northern Arizona in 2012 by 47 points.
- CU scored 53 points in the second half (3rd half with 50+ this year), equaling Hampton's game total.
- CU season low six turnovers.
- CU sixth game with rebounding margin of at least 15+.
- Colorado improves to 10-1 on the season. CU did not achieve 10 wins last year until January 24 (10-9 record). Colorado's 10-game winning streak is its best since a 10-game run during the 2013-14 nonconference schedule and ties for the fifth longest streak in team history.
- CU owns the nation's longest active streak of scoring 80+ points (10 straight games), which also is a school record.
Players
- Tory Miller had a career high 19 points. He had his second career double-double by adding 10 rebounds for the second straight game; his third career double-figure rebounding effort. Miller hit 7-of-8 free throws, he entered the game having made just 7-of-19 in his first 10 games.
- Josh Scott now has 77 double-figure scoring games after scoring 21 points against Hampton. He once again led the team in scoring – sixth time this season and now has 1,395 points.

- Five straight 20+ points. His seventh 20 point game of the season. He had seven 20-point games in 26 contests in 2013-14
- Scott is one of just three players in the country to average 18 points, 9 rebounds and shoot at least 60% FG (Utah's Jacob Poeltl 19.1 ppg, 9.5 rpg, 65.3% FG and Belmont's Evan Bradds 18.0 ppg, 9.0 rpg, 73.3% FG)
