Buffs Host No. 8 Kansas and Texas Tech in Big 12 Home Opener

BOULDER – The Colorado volleyball team (7-7) host No. 8 Kansas (11-1) on Thursday and Texas Tech (12-1) on Saturday for its Big 12 home opener.
CU opened Big 12 play on the road last week with then-No. 17 BYU (Sept. 26) and Utah (Sept. 29). The Buffs took set two in a four-set loss to the Cougars and battled with the Utes for a five-set loss after being down 0-2. CU will play both matches this week at CU Events Center – Kansas on Oct. 3 and Texas Tech on Oct. 5.

- In her best performance so far this season, So. OH Kendall Meller came off the bench for the Buffs against Utah (Sept. 29) for a crucial 11 kills (2e, 26att, hitting .346). Meller led the team in hitting percentage and her 11 kills marked a career high.
