Buffs Resume Fall Competition

Buffs head another week of play at the Bonita Bay Classic and Conference Masters
BOULDER – Another weekend packed with competition is ahead for Colorado, with a crew traveling to Bonita Bay, Florida, and San Diego, California.
Lera Alexin and Rixt Van Der Werff will represent the Big 12 in doubles competition at the 2025 ITA Conference Masters Championship, Nov. 6-9th. The duo is currently 7-1 this fall, with their one loss being the semifinal match at the ITA Regional Championship.
The ITA Conference Masters consists of one singles and doubles selection from each conference to represent their team in the last chance to qualify for the NCAA Singles Championship in two weeks. The semifinalists of singles play and the finalists along with third place for doubles will qualify.
This is the second year in which the Conference Masters have occurred, and the first year that Colorado will represent its conference in the tournament.
"It's great for them to be representing the Big 12," said head coach Anthony Pham, "the fact that they received the invite is a testament to them and the results they've had this fall. I know they are excited for the opportunity and the chance to qualify for the NCAA tournament."
The remaining seven Buffs will participate in the Bonita Bay Collegiate Classic, held at the FGCU Tennis Complex from Nov. 7-9th.
Colorado has traveled to Bonita Bay once prior to this fall, picking up one dual win against Notre Dame. The team was led by Mila Stanojevic, picking up a 3-0 record in Florida.
"It's always a great opportunity for us to play in different conditions, being in Florida but also playing on a different surface then we are used to." stated Pham, "Our kids are excited about playing, and finishing fall on a good note."
