December 14, 2025 | Women's Basketball
BOULDER – The Colorado women's basketball team (8-3, 0-0 Big 12) defeated Miami (OH) (7-4, 0-0 MAC), 75-55, at the CU Events Center on Sunday, Dec. 14.
The Buffaloes led the RedHawks through all four quarters, with the Buffs establishing a six-point lead off a 20-point first quarter. The Black and Gold extended their lead to as many as 17 points in the second and third quarters, finishing the game with a 20-point lead. CU was led by senior forward Jade Masogayo, scoring a season-high 19 points, and freshman forward Logyn Greer with her first career double-double.
"Really proud of our team. I definitely think this is the best we've played," head coach JR Payne stated. "It's also the first time in a really long time that we've actually had time to practice and do us. Everything we did for three weeks leading up to the last game was just scout, scout, scout. I thought this week of practice was really good. I thought we went into the game and executed some things that we had really tried to prioritize this week in transition. So I'm really proud of how we played great on the glass. To hold this team to 19% [in three-point shooting is unbelievable. I don't know if anybody will do that. We executed the game plan really well tonight."
The Black and Gold had a higher field goal percentage (49%-36%), as well as more points in the paint (42-26), rebounds (43-21) and assists (17-13). CU also held Miami (OH) to 19.2% from beyond the arc.
