How to watch, listen and follow along — plus five things to know — for CU's game vs. Texas Tech
BOULDER– The University of Colorado Buffaloes welcome Texas Tech to Folsom Field this Saturday for a Homecoming battle against the 12th-ranked Red Raiders. The game starts at 5:35 p.m. MT and tickets are still available. It will also be nationally televised on FOX.  Â
Â
The Buffs (2-2) are looking to snap a two-game losing streak after falling to Baylor 23-13 last week in Waco, while Texas Tech (4-0) is coming off a 49-14 non-conference victory over Sam Houston. This will be the first time this season the Buffs will tangle with a ranked opponent. The last time the Buffaloes faced a ranked team at home, they defeated Iowa State 24-17 on Oct. 11 of last year. Â
Â
Saturday's game will mark the 12th meeting between CU and Texas Tech, with the Buffs holding a 6-5 record all-time. Their last meeting took place in Lubbock on Nov. 9 of 2024, when Colorado prevailed 41-27 thanks to Shedeur Sanders, who threw three touchdowns and ran for another to secure the victory. Texas Tech's last visit to Boulder took place way back on Oct. 10, 2010, when the Red Raiders came to Folsom and eked out a 27-24 victory, the only defeat CU has had at home against Texas Tech in five tries.    Â

Five Things To Know
Â
1 - Big 12 Home Opener: Colorado's first trip to Waco in 19 years ended in a 23-13 loss at Baylor, but the Buffs erased a 13-3 deficit with a 46-yard Elliott Arnold field goal and a 12-play, 95-yard drive. CU out-gained Baylor 363-337 and won time of possession, 31:26 to 28:34. Over the last two seasons, the Buffs are 4-4 in Big 12 games played at home.Â
2 -Â Anene All Over: Toby Anene has made his presence felt in every game in his first season in Boulder. The fifth-year edge from North Dakota State has recorded at
least a share of a tackle for loss in all four games, totaling 4.5 TFLs for 14 yards, including two sacks for six yards. He has added five quarterback hurries— two in each of Colorado's wins, at Georgia Tech and against Weber State — along with a pass breakup and a forced fumble, and has 12 tackles on the season. His best all-around day
came against Weber State, when he recorded a sack, a TFL, a forced fumble, a pass breakup and two hurries, and he posted his first multi-TFL game as a Buff at Baylor with two tackles for loss, including a sack.
Â
3 -Â JoJo's 11: Joseph Williams caught 11 passes for 127 yards and a touchdown, tied for the ninth-most receptions in a game in CU history. He also threw a 49-yard completion, becoming the first Buff since Bryce Bobo in 2017 to complete a pass and record 100 receiving yards in the same game. Williams has 20 catches for 338 yards and four touchdowns in the last three games.
Â
4 - Nine With A TFL: Last week, nine different Buffs contributed to nine tackles for loss for 22 yards, a season high. Baylor ran 35 times for 116 yards (3.3 per carry) with no rushing touchdowns, and Colorado has not allowed a run of 25-plus yards all season. The Bears scored one touchdown in five red-zone trips.
Â
5 -Â Four for Four: Jason Stokes Jr.'s first career interception just before halftime kept Colorado's takeaway streak alive; the Buffs have forced at least one turnover in all four games this season.
