
No. 23 Colorado Ready For A Top-25 Matchup At Arizona State

TEMPE, Ariz. — Coming off an upset win, No. 23 Colorado volleyball will face No. 11 Arizona State on Friday, Oct. 9 at 8 p.m. MT in Tempe, Ariz., for another top-25 Big 12 Conference matchup.Â
This will be the 30th meeting for the opponents, with ASU leading the all-time series. Colorado seeks its first win against the Sun Devils after five straight losses. Â
In their most recent match, the Buffs recorded their first ranked conference win of the season, taking down No. 21 Baylor in four sets.Â

Sophomore pin attacker Ines Lodasa tied her career high aces against Baylor with five. She also recorded nine digs and three blocks.

With the recent win against Baylor, Colorado moved to 9-0 when winning the first set.

Pin attacker Ana Burilovic is currently ranked 24th in the country in kills per set, averaging 4.21.Â
SCOUTING THE SUN DEVILS: Arizona State is led by a trio of upperclass hitters. Senior Noemie Glover leads the Sun Devils in kills per set (3.77), closely followed by junior Una Vajagic (3.73) and graduate Aniya Clinton (2.63). All three hit double figure kills in their last match against Iowa State. Arizona State is second in the Big 12 for opponent digs, assists, kills, blocks and hitting percentage. The Sun Devils average a .225 hitting percentage and 2.48 blocks per set. JJ Van Niel is in his third season as head coach with the Sun Devils. He led his team to back-to-back Big 12 championships (2024-25).Â
