THE BUFFALOES: Colorado is 14-11 overall and tied with Arizona State for 12th in the Big 12 Conference standings with a league record of 4-8. The Buffaloes and Sun Devils are just one game out of the 10th spot.

Colorado is an even 2-2 since snapping its season-long six-game losing streak. Both of those wins have come at home. The Buffaloes are out to snap a five-game road skid during conference play.

Colorado's 78-70 win over Arizona State on Feb. 7, allowed the Buffaloes to match their 35-game win total from a year ago in 11 fewer games. The Buffaloes have also surpassed their conference win total from 2024-25.

Colorado ranks among the top 50 teams in the nation in a few categories. The Buffaloes are 44th in the nation in assist-to-turnover ratio at 1.5 and 43rd in turnovers per game at just over 10. Those strong traits were on full display in the win over TCU. Colorado matched a season high with 24 assists while committing only eight turnovers (3.0 a/to). The 24 assists were the most against a conference opponent since the Buffaloes had 25 in a 91-72 win over Stanford on March 2, 2017.

Colorado's 10.1 turnovers allowed per game rank second in the Big 12, behind only No. 3 ranked Houston (8.0 topg). The Buffaloes have recorded single digits in turnovers 10 times this season. Colorado has a long-standing single-game team goal of allowing 11 turnovers or fewer, a mark they've hit in 18 of 25 games. In contrast, the 2024-25 team only achieved that feat seven times in 35 games and only once recorded single digits (8 at Kansas, Feb. 24, 2025).

The Buffaloes also sport top 50 national rankings in bench points (38th, 29.7 ppg) and fast break points (49th, 14.0).

SCORING BALANCE: Colorado has had at least four players score in double figures in 18 of 25 games, including the first nine. The Buffaloes have had five games with at least five scoring in double digits.

Colorado had only four games with four players scoring in double figures in 35 contests last year (3-1 record) and none with five. Prior to this season, the NCAA Tournament win over Florida on March 22, 2024 was the last instance of five double-digit scorers.

The Buffaloes have had six different players lead the team in scoring this season and four have had 20-point games. Colorado is averaging a Big 12-best 29.7 points per game from its bench accounting for 37 percent of the team's scoring.

Freshman Isaiah Johnson is Colorado's leading scorer at 16.1 points per game, which ranks fourth in the Big 12 and 18th in the nation in scoring by freshmen. He has a team-best six 20-point games, including a game-high 24 points at Iowa State, marking his first of those 20-point efforts that has come on the road.

Johnson leads the Buffaloes in free throws made (126) and attempted (155), 3-pointers made (39) and steals (26) while ranking second in assists (63), and 3-point percentage (.386).

Johnson is eighth in the nation for free throws made by a freshman and 18th in free throw percentage (.813).

Junior Barrington Hargress leads Colorado in assists (108), overall shooting (.540), 3-point percentage (.486) and overall field goals made and attempted (134-248) while ranking second in scoring (13.9 ppg) and 3-pointers made (36) and third in steals (20). He had a game-high 23 points on 10 of 15 from the field against Arizona State. The 10 field goals made was a team season high.

Hargress is second in the Big 12 and 13th in the nation in assist-to-turnover ratio at 3.5 and leads all conference players in league games with a 4.0 mark. He has 15 games with no more than one turnover. Hargress has eight games with at least five assists. Over the last 10 contests he has 36 assists against just seven turnovers (5.1 a/to).

Additionally on the Big 12 charts, Hargress ranks eighth in field goal percentage and 13th in assists. He is the best field goal shooter in the Big 12, and ninth in the country, from the guard position.

Sophomore Sebastian Rancik is second on the team in rebounding (5.3 rpg), free throws made (96) and attempted (112) and steals (21) and third in scoring (12.6 ppg) and assists (47). Rancik leads the team and ranks third in the Big 12 in free throw percentage at 85.7 percent.

Rancik recorded his first career double-double with 17 points and a personal-best 11 rebounds in the home win over Arizona State. Four of those rebounds came off the offensive end, which is also a career high.

Junior forward Bangot Dak leads the Buffaloes and is 14th in the Big 12 at 6.5 rebounds per game and 13th in blocks at 1.4 per outing.  He is fourth on the team in scoring at 10.4 points per game while shooting 46.4 percent from the field. Dak came off the bench for the first time this season against TCU and contributed 14 points on 7 of 8 from the field, the best single-game percentage for the Buffaloes this year (minimum 5 field goals made).
