Buffs Travel Back to Boston for David Hemery Valentine Invitational

BOULDER – The Colorado track and field team returns to Boston, Mass., for the David Hemery Valentine Invitational on Friday, Feb. 13, and Saturday, Feb. 14. The men will compete on Friday, and the women on Saturday.

FINAL SCHEDULE: Colorado's events begin at 7:00 a.m. MT on Friday, and 3:45 p.m. MT on Saturday.
NCAA DIVISION 1 RANKINGS: The Colorado men's track and field team currently sits at 24th, according to the USTFCCCA. The team is also No. 1 in the men's mile with an average time of 3:53.82, and No. 3 in the men's 3k with an average time of 7:51.43.
Men's Mile Event Squad-
LAST TIME OUT: The Buffaloes hosted their third home meet of the season on Friday, Feb. 6, and Saturday, Feb. 7. Three Buffs competed in the field events on Friday, and 27 raced on Saturday, with five athletes reaching top-10 marks.
Antonio Votour opened competition on Saturday by advancing to the finals in the men's 60m hurdles, where he then set the third fastest time on the program top-10 list with a time of 7.94. Ernest Campbell made his CU debut and became the ninth fastest on the top-10 list with a time of 6.76 in the men's 60m finals. Justine Kipkoech ran a converted time of 3:53.05 in the men's mile, putting him second on the top-10 list and fifth nationally. Danny Tragarz moved from No. 8 to No. 2 on the program top-10 list for the men's 400m with a time of 46.69. In the men's 800m, Ty Cook set the program record with a time of 1:47.68, beating the record set by Drew Costello the previous weekend.
UP NEXT: The Buffaloes return home to celebrate senior day at the Colorado Last Chance meet on Friday, Feb. 20. Events begin at 12:00 p.m. MT. This is the last meet for Colorado before the Big 12 Indoor Championships on Friday, Feb. 27, and Saturday, Feb. 28, in Lubbock, Texas.
