NCAA Announced Selections With Inaugural Ski Selection Show
BOULDER — The Colorado Buffaloes Ski Team has announced the 12 skiers who will represent the Buffs at the 2026 NCAA Skiing Championships as Colorado begins its pursuit of the program's 22nd national championship.
Under NCAA rules, only three skiers per gender and discipline qualify for nationals, forming a 12-person team. Unlike the regular season — where depth can absorb mistakes — every NCAA finisher scores, raising the pressure and amplifying the importance of each race.
Colorado enters the championships with one of the deepest rosters in the country, leaving home multiple skiers who have posted podium finishes and All-RMISA honors this season. But the 12 selected have consistently proven they can deliver when every point matters.
WOMEN'S ALPINE
Louison Accambray
Paige DeHart
Cathinka Lunder
Accambray makes her second NCAA appearance following one of the most dominant seasons in Colorado alpine history. Lunder, a sophomore, will compete at nationals for the first time, while DeHart earns the nod as a freshman after a steady late-season surge.
MEN'S ALPINE
Feb Allasina
Justin Bigatel
Filip Wahlqvist
This trio has established itself as one of the nation's most formidable giant slalom groups, sweeping the podium twice this season, including at the RMISA Championships. Allasina and Bigatel will make their NCAA debuts, while Wahlqvist competes at nationals for the third time in his career.
WOMEN'S NORDIC
Tilde Baangman
Astri Lunde
Nina Schamberger
The women's Nordic group brings the most championship experience. Baangman will make her fourth NCAA appearance and second for Colorado. Lunde competes at nationals for the second time, and Schamberger makes her third career appearance and first as a Buffalo.
MEN'S NORDIC
Johannes Flaaten
Jakob Moch
Storm Pedersen
Flaaten will ski at nationals for the third time and anchors a men's Nordic team built for both the present and future. Freshmen Moch and Pedersen have emerged as cornerstone performers this season and will make their NCAA debuts.
