Assini and Oh Earn Big 12 Weekly Awards

IRVING, Texas – Colorado earns its 14th and 15th Big 12 Player of the Week awards this season as sophomore goalkeeper Elena Oh and midfielder Lily Assini receive honors, the conference announced on Wednesday.
Oh, the sophomore from Chapel Hill, N.C., picked up her sixth Goalkeeper of the Week honor this season. This marks her tenth Big 12 Goalkeeper of the Week award of her career.
In the Buffaloes' game against then No. 18 Denver, Oh made five saves and allowed only six goals. She repeated that effort later in the week against UC Davis, also securing five saves and only allowing six goals. Oh currently leads the NCAA in goals-against average at 6.40 and ranks 12th in save percentage at .491.
Assini, the senior from Englewood, Colo., claimed her second Big 12 Midfielder of the Week award this season. She finished the week with five goals and an assist. She picked up a goal and an assist against Denver before leading the Buffs with four goals on the road against UC Davis. Against the Aggies, she put up a hat trick before halftime. Assini now has 25 goals and 16 assists on the season.
The Buffs will wrap up the regular season on Saturday against Arizona State at Kittredge Field. First draw is set for 12 p.m. MT, and fans can tune in on ESPN+. Following the game, we will honor our seniors for Senior Day.
