Opp Posts Season Best as Buffs Begin Kit Mayer Classic

GOLDEN, Colo. – Colorado track and field opened competition Wednesday at the Kit Mayer Classic with a pair of throws performances in the invitational hammer sections.

Amanda Opp recorded a season-best throw of 55.57 meters (182-4) to place fifth overall, while Lucas Williams finished eighth with a mark of 55.59 meters (182-4).
The Buffs will return to action Saturday, with Olivia Sheridan set to compete in the women's 1500 meters, followed by Kimi Bulto and Helen Carlson in the men's and women's 800 meters.
