Buffs Arrive in Fayetteville for NCAA West Regionals

BOULDER – Colorado track and field has arrived in Fayetteville for the NCAA Division I Outdoor Track & Field West First Rounds, set for May 27–30 at John McDonnell Field.
The NCAA West First Rounds serve as the preliminary qualifying meet for the NCAA Outdoor Championships in Eugene, Oregon, with the top 12 finishers in each event advancing to nationals. Men's competition will be held Wednesday and Friday, while the women will compete Thursday and Saturday.

- Men's javelin first round (1 p.m.) – Gustavo Alfonso
- Men's 400m hurdles first round (7:20 p.m.) – Danny Tragarz
- Men's 10k semifinal (8:10 p.m.) – James Overberg, Dean Casey
Thursday, May 28
- Women's 800m first round (6:50 p.m.) – Avery Pearson
- Women's 10k semifinal (8:10 p.m.) – Abbey Nechanicky, Ashley Jones
Friday, May 29
- Men's 3k steeplechase quarterfinal (4:40 p.m.) – Kole Mathison
- Men's 400m hurdles quarterfinal (6:25 p.m.) – Danny Tragarz (if qualified)
- Men's 5k semifinal (7:10 p.m.) – Tanner Newkirk
Saturday, May 30
- Women's 800m quarterfinal (6:05 p.m.) – Avery Pearson (if qualified)
The Buffs will look to qualify athletes for the NCAA Outdoor Championships, set for June 10–13 in Eugene, Oregon.
