EVANSTON, Ill. – The University of Colorado Buffaloes head back out on the road this Saturday to face Big Ten foe Northwestern at Northwestern Medicine Field at Martin Stadium. Game time against the Wildcats is 5:30 p.m. MT and the game will be broadcast nationally on Fox.
The Buffs (2-0) are coming off a dominant offensive performance in a 52-21 thrashing of Weber State last Saturday. The Wildcats (1-0) have had extra time to prepare for the Buffaloes, with their last, and only, action taking place on Sept. 5 in a 34-18 win over South Dakota State.
Colorado and Northwestern have met just twice before, with the last meeting coming in a 55-7 CU win at Folsom Field in 1978. The two teams' first matchup took place in 1951, which Northwestern won at home 35-14. This is the first game of a home-and-home series against the Wildcats, with Northwestern scheduled to pay a visit to Folsom Field next season.

1 - Ten Records: Julian Lewis set or tied at least 10 school records against Weber State after completing 17-of-23 passes for 366 yards with four touchdowns, while adding a rushing touchdown for a 265.0 rating. His 212 passing yards and three touchdown passes in the first quarter both set or tied new CU records and his pass efficiency was also the highest in CU history with at least 20 attempts.
2 - 52, 578, 42: CU's 52 points, 578 total yards and 42 first half points against Weber State set or tied Coach Prime Era highs for the Buffs. The game was the third time in the Prime Era the Buffs had 550 or more total yards, and it was the 54th such game in program history.
3 - Micah Gets 100: Micah Welch became the first 100-yard rusher of the Coach Prime Era, and snapped a streak of 40 straight games without one (Nov. 11, 2022) with 11 rushes for 106 yards and a touchdown.
4 - Triple-Triple: For just the third time in CU history, the Buffs had two 100-yard receivers and a 100-yard rusher in the same game, with Joseph Williams (4-123-2) and DeAndre Moore Jr. (4-107-1) doing so through the air and Micah Welch (11-106-1) on the ground. The Buffs also accomplished the feat against Nebraska in 2009 and Colorado State in 2018.
