2022-23 (Senior): Appeared in three games, playing in the final minute of home wins over Colorado State (12/8), Stanford (2/5) and Senior Day vs. Utah (3/4). Although a sophomore in eligibility, he is scheduled to graduate in August 2023 and plans to begin his professional career outside of basketball.
2021-22 (Freshman): Appeared in two games, playing the closing minutes of home wins over Maine (11/15) and Oregon State (2/5). Recorded a rebound in each contest.
Before Colorado: Spent the Fall 2020 semester at Northern Virginia Community College, but did not play basketball as the school's season was canceled due to covid. Transferred to Colorado for the Spring 2021 semester and joined the Buffaloes as a walk-on in August 2021.
High School: A 2019 graduate of W.T. Woodson High School and spent the 2019-20 academic year at Air Force Prep at the U.S. Air Force Academy in Colorado. Averaged 10.1 points, 7.6 rebounds and 2.4 blocks for Woodson in 2018-19, earning all-conference and all-region second team honors. Named to the conference and region's all-defensive teams. Averaged 8.8 points, 4.5 rebounds and 1.5 blocks as a junior. Was the only sophomore, and a starter, on Woodson's first basketball state championship team in 2016-17. Averaged 20.3 points, 9 rebounds and 2.8 blocks while shooting 63 percent from the field during the Capital Hoops Summer League at Dematha. Played two seasons of club basketball for Team Takeover in Washington, D.C.
Academics: A Business major at Colorado and is also interested in Computer Science.
Personal: Born June 2, 2000, in Washington, D.C. He is the son of Andrea Mains and Jon and Carrie Mains. Has a twin brother, Travis, a junior at Virginia Tech, and three younger brothers, Jacob, Tyler, and Logan Tucker. Looking to work in asset management after college. Enjoys playing NBA 2K and hanging out with friends. Favorite team is the Washington Wizards and favorite player is Giannis Antetokounmpo. Volunteered for Special Olympics in Virginia. His family is originally from Colorado and his paternal grandparents both attended CU.
