Career: One of three Colorado four-year seniors in his class (2012-16) - joining Xavier Talton and Josh Scott - who participated in 82 wins, the third most by a class in team history.

2015-16 (Senior) - Saw action in nine games, including five during the Pac-12 schedule. He made his final appearance in the last two minutes of Colorado's Pac-12 Tournament first round win over Washington State (3/9). Dished out two assists on the season, one against Northern Colorado (11/29) and the other against Hampton (12/19). Also grabbed a pair of rebounds, one vs. Hampton (12/29) and another vs. Stanford (1/27).

2014-15 (Junior): Appeared in 19 games, averaging 1.4 points and 0.6 rebounds. Scored a career-high 11 points in the home CBI win against Gardner-Webb (3/18). Four made field goals (pair of 3-pointers) against the Bulldogs, also a personal high. Season high 18 minutes in home victory against Washington State (1/24), tying a career-best three assists. Also played 16 minutes with three points, two rebounds, one steal in three overtime win at USC (1/29).

2013-14 (Sophomore): Played in 27 games, averaging 1.6 points and 0.8 rebounds. Scored a career-best eight points at Utah (3/1) and a personal-high six rebounds against USC (1/18). Played a career-best 22 minutes in both games against the Utes (2/1 and 3/1). Tied team honors leading in assists two games (at Washington, 1/12) and Pittsburgh (3/20).

2012-13 (Freshman): Played in 25 games, averaging 1.4 points, 0.8 rebounds, 9.1 minutes per game. Season-high six points in home win against Air Force (11/5). Three steals and two assists in home win against Hartford (12/29). Two assists in home finale against Oregon State (3/9). Shot 66.7 percent from the free throw line. Helped the Buffaloes to their second consecutive NCAA Tournament appearance, a school-first in back-to-back years since 1961-62 & 1962-63 (50 years).

High School: Averaged 5.8 points, 2.7 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 1.1 steals per game for Mater Dei High School as a senior. Tied for the team high with 20 blocked shots for the season on a star-studded Monarchs team. As a senior, helped Mater Dei to 34-2 record en route to the California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) State Division I title. Monarchs went 10-0 in league play winning the Trinity League title, then the CIF Southern Section Division 1AA championship. Finished the year as the top-ranked school in California, No. 2 ranking nationally. Four-year letterwinner. Two-time co-captain (junior & senior years) helping the Monarchs register an incredible 129-9 record (.935) over his four years. Two state championships during his junior (32-3, No. 4 nationally, defeated De La Salle) and senior (34-2, No. 2 nationally, defeated Sheldon) years. Earned first-team all-conference honors as a junior. Member of another pair of 30-win seasons at Mater Dei during his sophomore (32-2, No. 8 nationally, state semifinal) and freshman (31-2, No. 12 nationally).

Academics: Scheduled to graduate in May 2016 with his degree in Music (is a pianist). He was accepted into CU’s College of Music in Oct. 2012. Served a two-year term as a member of the NCAA Division 1 Men’s Basketball Issues Committe (2013-15). He was selected by CU’s Director of Student-Athlete Leadership after being their nomination to the Pac-12 Conference (The conference office selected Stalzer and moved his name on to the NCAA. They, in turn, selected him for the committee). 

Personal: Born December 22, 1992. Son of Randy and Chinita Stalzer. Youngest of four children. Sarah, Aaron (played volleyball at Pepperdine), and Isaac. Second CU men’s basketball National Letter of Intent in as many years to sign during the spring signing period with the Boyle coaching staff. Rounds out the CU class as the sixth freshman and joins former Mater Dei teammate Xavier Johnson. Stalzer and Johnson were the first CU student-athletes hailing from the same high school as incoming freshmen since 1980 (Jay Humphries and Vince Kelley); and first high school teammates on the CU roster since 2002-03 (Matt Greenwald and Blair Wilson, Westminster HS [Colo.]).
