Career: Finished his storied four-year career ranking sixth in 3-point percentage (.386), ninth in 3-pointers made (150), 13th in scoring (1,456) and games played (124), 14th in starts (98), 15th in minutes played (3,334) and 19th in steals (110) on Colorado's all-time lists.
2023-24 (Senior): An All-Pac-12 Conference Second Team selection, he was second on the team in scoring (16.0 ppg), field goals made (197) and 3-pointers (64) while leading the team in blocks (19) and ranking third in steals (39) and fourth in rebounding (5.1 rpg). On the Pac-12 charts, ranked sixth in free throw percentage (.835), 10th in scoring and minutes (33.8 mpg), 12th in 3-point percentage (.395), 15th in overall shooting (.493) and 20th in rebounding. His 544 points tied for 17th on Colorado's single-season list while his 39.5 percent mark from downtown ranks 12th and his 64 3-pointers are 13th. Became the 39th member of Colorado's 1,000-point club after scoring 17 points in the win over Iona (11/26). Had a game-high 22 points in the win over Pepperdine (12/3), sporting a “perfect game” in the process. He was 5 of 5 from the field, including 2 of 2 from beyond the arc, and 10 of 10 from the free throw line. He’s the only Colorado player since 1951-52 with at least five field goals and 10 free throws without a miss. Since the 1996-97 season, he is the only Pac-12 player with those numbers and only one of 12 nationally. Earned Pac-12 Player of the Week honors on Dec. 11 after his fantastic effort against Miami (12/10). He had 22 points, 10 rebounds, a career-high nine assists and a pair of steals against the Hurricanes. He had season-highs with 27 points and 11 rebounds on Senior Day against Stanford (3/3). It was his second double-double of the season and fourth of his career. He set career-highs in 3-pointers made and attempted hitting on 5-of-10 beyond the arc. Earned Pac-12 All-Tournament Team honors averaging 12.0 points, on 46.7 shooting, 3.0 rebounds and 2.0 assists over the three games. He had a fantastic NCAA Tournament for the Buffaloes averaging 18.0 points and 4.0 rebounds hitting 60 percent from the field and 56 percent from 3-point range. He had a game-high 20 points hitting 7-of-11 from the field in the First Four win over Boise State (3/20). It was his ninth 20-point outing of the season and he recorded the 10th 20-point effort in CU NCAA Tournament history. Earned numerous preseason honors, highlighted by a spot on the Blue Ribbon Yearbook's Preseason All-America Fourth Team. He was on preseason watch lists fo the Naismith Trophy, Wooden Award and the Karl Malone Award (nation's top power forward). He was Preseason All-Pac-12 both The Almanac and by conference media members. NCAA.com tabbed hims the top small forward in the nation and one of the top 10 seniors in the nation overall. Following the season, he received the team's Most Inspirational Award and shared the Tebo Family P.A.S.S. Award with classmate Luke O’Brien. He was selected by the Orlando Magic with the 18th overall pick of the 2024 NBA Draft.
2022-23 (Junior): An All-Pac-12 Conference First Team selection, led Colorado at 15.9 points per game on just under 50 percent shooting from the field. His 556 points rank 13th on Colorado's single-season scoring chart while his 211 field goals made rank 10th. He had a team-best 54 3-point field goals, hitting at a 39.4 percent clip. Led the Buffaloes with 44 total steals (second by average at 1.3 spg) and was second in total rebounds with 168 (third by average at 4.8 rpg). On the Pac-12 charts was sixth in scoring and 3-point percentage, ninth in steals, 10th in overall shooting (.496) and 14th in free throw accuracy (.755). Scored 20-plus points in 11 games this season, the most since Derrick White had 15 in 2016-17. He had a string of five-straight 20-plus games, the first by a Buffalo since Josh Scott had five in a row from Dec. 2-19, 2015. Earned Pac-12 Player of the Week honors on Jan. 9 after averaging 23.5 points, 6.0 rebounds, 2.5 steals and 2.0 assists during the home sweep of the Oregon schools. He shot 66.7 percent from the field (18-27), including 4 of 7 from 3-point range, and 70 percent from the free throw line (7-10). Scored a career-high 30 points in the win over Oregon (1/5), hitting 11 of 18 from the field, including 3 of 4 from 3-point range. His field goals tied career-highs with 11 field goals as did his seven free throw attempts (5 of 7) and three steals. He had 17 points, on 7 of 10 shooting, five rebounds and a pair of steals against Oregon State (1/7). He made 11 straight field goals between the Washington (2) and Washington State (9) home games, tying for third-best in team history and best since 2012. His 84.6 percentage from the field against WSU (11 of 13) tied CU’s second-best performance with at least 10 FGM since 1996-97. Notched his first two career double-doubles, first with a 20-point, 10-rebound effort against Southern Utah (12/21) and then with 22 points and a career and team-season high 15 rebounds at Oregon State (1/28). Had a team-best 28 double-figure scoring games and led the Buffaloes in scoring 15 times. Named the Chauncey Billups Team MVP at the end of season banquet. Was selected to the media's Preseason All-Pac-12 Team.
2021-22 (Sophomore): Averaged 9.4 points, 3.5 rebounds and just under two assists per game. Started all 31 games he appeared in, missing two due to illness. Ranked second on the team in field goal shooting (.479), free throw percentage (.797), third in assists and fourth in scoring and rebounding. On the Pac-12 leaderboard, he was 12th in overall field goal percentage and during conference play was third in 3-point percentage (.477), sixth in free throw percentage (.822) and ninth in overall field goal shooting (.525). Shot 56 percent over the final seven games of the season (28 of 50). Scored a personal-best 22 points in the home win over Washington (1/9), his first career 20-point game. Made all seven free throw attempts in the home win over Utah (2/12), part of a career-best streak of 14 consecutive free throws made. Scored 10 points in the win overtime against Duquesne (11/20) in the Paradise Jam, tying the game on a 3-pointer with two seconds remaining in regulation. Dished out a career-best five assists at home against Oregon State (2/5). Had 16 games with double-figure scoring. Scored 19 points on 7 of 10 from the field in the home win over No. 2 Arizona (2/26).
2020-21 (Freshman): Averaged 2.7 points and one rebound over 24 games. Picked up his production as the season went along scoring all but 10 of his season's points over the final 14 games (3.9 ppg). Played sparingly during the first half of the season, but when classmate Jabari Walker missed six games with a foot injury, he answered the call. Scored a career-best 15 points in the home win over Oregon State (2/8) hitting all six of his field goal attempts - a team season-best for shots made without a miss. In all he made 10 straight field goals spanning three games. After missing the first six shots of his career, he made 27 of his last 45 (.600) and ended the season at 53 percent from the field. His first career 3-pointer was a halftime buzzer-beater at home against Stanford (1/16). Made his CU debut in the opener vs. South Dakota (11/25), recording a team-best two blocks. Co-winner of team's Most Improved Award.
High School/Club: A 2019 graduate of Ludwigsgymnasium in Munich. In 2019-20, he played simultaneously with Schwabing, in Germany’s Regionalliga, and IBA Muenchen (International Basketball Academy, Munich), in the NBBL. In 12 games with IBA Muenchen, da Silva led the team in scoring at 16.9 points per game while shooting 53.2 percent. His shooting with Schwabing was even better at 58.3 percent while averaging 14.0 points and 5.5 rebounds in 16 games. He was set to play for Germany at the 2020 U20 FIBA World Championships, before that tournament was canceled.
Academics: Graduated from Colorado in May 2024 with his bachelor's degree in Finance. A two-time Pac-12 Winter Academic Honor Roll member (2021-22 & '22-23).
Personal: Born May 15, 2001, in Munich. He is the son of Christine and Valdemar da Silva. His father was a professional boxer in his native Brazil. Has one brother, Oscar, who was an All-Pac-12 forward at Stanford from 2017-21. Enjoys music, acting and playing soccer. At one time played the trumpet so well, he might have been able to be a professional musician. Can speak five languages – German, Portuguese, Spanish, French and English. Would like to play professional basketball and then get a good job in environmental engineering or another science field. Favorite NBA teams is the Los Angeles Lakers and his favorite player is Luka Doncic. Chose Colorado over LMU, Hawai’i, BYU and San Diego among other in part “best all-around offer. Great school/academics, great team, awesome community.”
