Bio
Prior To CU—He has skied competitively since 2005 and skied for Stoneham Ski Club from 2005-16, the Quebec Regional Team from 2016-18 and for the Quebec Ski Team since 2018. He was a member of the Canadian Alpine World Junior Team in 2022. In all, he has more than 270 starts in FIS races in his career, more than 100 in both giant slalom and slalom, and has finished in the top 30 in over 150 of those races with 33 total podiums which includes 13 race victories. He won a world junior championship with his Canadian teammates at the Junior World Championships in Panorama in 2022, and also finished 11th in the alpine combined at that event. He has skied on the Nor-Am, European and South American Cup circuits with more than 80 starts and eight top-10 finishes. He has six top 10 finishes at the Canadian National Championships including in four straight GS races there from 2019-23. In 2023, he finished fifth in Super G, seventh in GS and 13th in slalom at Kimberely Ski Resort for the Canadian National Championships. His 13 wins include five in giant slalom, four in slalom, two in Super G, one downhill along with his team parallel junior world championship. He was named Skibec Alpine’s Athelte of the Year in both 2017 and ‘18.
High School—Mazellier graduated from Ecole Secondaire Cardinal-Roy in Quebec City, Quebec, in 2018.
In the Classroom—He is interested in majoring in Business at Colorado.
Personal—His birthday is April 3 and he was born in Quebec City. His parents are Nicholas and Anne-Marie Mazellier and he has one younger brother, Arnaud. He would like to pursue a career in professional skiing and own his own business someday. He enjoys road biking, cooking, tennis, coffee and photography as hobbies. He served as a ballboy for the National Bank Cup from 2012-17.
