Koki Ozawa joined the athletic training staff at CU as the assistant athletic trainer for cross country and track and field in the summer of 2021. He joins the staff after spending the last two years at Oklahoma State where he worked in a similar capacity with the Cowboys’ cross country and track and field teams. Ozawa was also an intern athletic trainer during the summer of 2019 for DC United Academy in Washington D.C.
Born in Imabari, Japan, Ozawa earned his bachelor’s degree in sport science in 2017. He went on to earn his master’s in athletic training from Texas Tech University in 2019. An avid runner himself, Ozawa ran track and field in high school, focusing on the long distance events.
