Alec Roussos serves as the Deputy Athletic Director for Administration at the University of Colorado Boulder, a role he assumed in Spring of 2025 after a series of progressive leadership positions within CU Athletics. In this capacity, Roussos oversees all NIL and revenue sharing endeavors, Equipment Operations, Football Strength and Conditioning and serves as the Football Sport Administrator, a role he has held since the 2022 season. Roussos also serves on Rick George’s Executive Staff as part of his duties and assists in the day to day management of the Athletic Department. Working hand in hand with the football staff, Roussos assists in the overall strategy of the program and is responsible for coaching contract negotiations and non-conference scheduling, among other duties.
In his role overseeing NIL and revenue sharing for the department, Roussos has launched endeavors like The Arch. A first of its kind, 3rd party NIL platform, The Arch allows companies to participate in NIL through a shared asset strategy combining benefits from the Buff Club and Buffalo Sports Properties to bring incremental value to both companies and student-athletes. Roussos oversees the overall strategy of 3rd party NIL in partnership with Learfield to create value for student-athletes and CU’s sport programs.
Roussos's tenure at CU began in 2014 as a summer intern, followed by the role of Special Projects Assistant for the AD’s Office from 2016 to 2019. He was appointed Chief of Staff/Director of Operations in 2019, advanced to Assistant Athletic Director of Administration/Chief of Staff in 2021, and was promoted to Associate Athletic Director for Administration/Chief of Staff in August 2022. In his tenure, he has led initiatives such as the Strategic Plan, the Athletic Director’s Office research team, and was the main point of contact with Colorado’s collectives.
Roussos holds a Master of Business Administration from CU Boulder's Leeds School of Business (2019) and a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Biology from McGill University (2016), where he was a two-time team captain and national champion with the men's lacrosse team. Originally from Golden, Colorado, he graduated from Park City High School in Utah. Roussos is married to the former Kennon Krieger and in his leisure time enjoys golfing and spending time with friends and family.
