
Givens Advances to Mile Final at NCAA Indoor Championships

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. – Colorado's Isaiah Givens punched his ticket to the finals and will compete for the individual title in the mile at the 2025 NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships at the Virginia Beach Sports Center.
Givens ran a season-best 3:58.05 to finish sixth in the first heat, qualifying by time. The top six from his heat and the top four from the second heat advance to Saturday's final.
Givens maintained a steady position in the middle of the pack throughout the race before dropping to the back entering the final lap. He surged on the final turn and backstretch to secure his qualifying spot.
The finals are set for Saturday at 4 p.m. MT.
