Johnson Named To NABC All-District Team

March 17, 2026 | Men's Basketball

BOULDER – Colorado freshman guard Isaiah Johnson was named to the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) All-Mountain District First Team, the organization announced on Tuesday.

The All-Mountain team is one of 10 districts voted on by NABC members across NCAA Division I. Johnson was one of 10 members selected to the first team, while 10 others earned second team honors, representing the states of Colorado, Arizona, Utah, New Mexico, Montana, and Oklahoma.

Johnson leads Colorado in scoring at 16.9 points per game, which ranks third in the Big 12 and 15th in the nation among freshmen. His 540 points broke Colorado's freshman season scoring record, previously held by Alec Burks, who had 512 in 2009-10.

Johnson leads the Buffaloes in free throws made (160) and attempted (195), 3-pointers made (56) and steals (33) while ranking second in assists (96) and 3-point percentage (.378).

Colorado's co-MVP for the 2025-26 season, Johnson earned honorable mention to the All-Big 12 Conference team. He is on pace to become the eighth freshman to lead the Buffaloes in scoring for an entire season.

Johnson is Colorado's first NABC all-district team member since KJ Simpson in 2023-24. He's the sixth different Buff to earn first-team honors from the coaches organization. Johnson is the 15th Colorado player overall honored by the NABC since 1994.
